Whats in my day to day makeup bag

I wanted to share with you my daily make up routine.

These are the products that I go to when I want a nice easy makeup look that isnt to heavy for work or daily mum life.

Its quick and easy and no complex contouring involved 😜 

Tip 1: I always start by prepping my face and applying a lip balm to start, that way my lips are ready for my lipstick at the end.

Primer

1.  If my skin is feeling a bit dull and I feel it needs a little brightening I turn to Estée Lauder - illuminator radiant perfecting primer
This primer smooths on well and gives my skin a subtle glow under my make-up

2. I use the Smashbox primer if I feel that I need extra coverage or if I feel that it is going to be a long day.
I love the feel of this primer when applying it to my skin, it is so smooth and velvety and feels like it camouflages my imperfections

I also occasionally use my Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer if my skin is feeling dry, particularly after a heavy night on the vinos 😇

Concealer

I use Loreal perfect match Concealer in shade 4 (beige) to hide my blemishes and also my under eye circles, I use this concealer because it has a nice thick texture which covers well but isn't visible under my other makeup. It's also super blendable too.

Foundation

For my foundation I use Estée lauder Double wear - Shade Ivory Beige (3N1)

I cannot get enough of this foundation, I love love love the fact that it lasts all day, for me this foundation is magic. I can do my makeup at 7am, go to work, go to the gym and come home as 8pm and my makeup will still be intact with no top ups on my foundation.

This stuff has unreal staying power and it doesn't make me breakout either, woo hoo!

The only downside of this foundation for me is the packaging, Estee lauder Double wear doesn't come with a pump so I purchased one from MAC and cut it down. Its also difficult to get the last drops out so I use a clean cotton bud to get the rest out

I have purchased this countless of times and I keep going back for more.

Mascara 

Tip 2: I always use moisturiser to remove excess mascara around my eyes, that way you are not rubbing off the good stuff you have already applied and you are re-moisturising your eye area.

1. I use my Benefit Roller Lash Mascara day to day if i'm just going to work or taking Rocco to the park and I do not feel the need to look particularly glamourous (as if!). When used correctly this can really help lift the lashes from below to give them a fab curl without eyelash curlers. I never use Eyelash Curlers! It's also packed with goodness to keep those lashes lookin good!

2. Doucce Punk Volumiser Mascara, this is my newbie mascara that I received recently in my Birchbox and I have to say I love it! it's the Mascara that I now turn to if I want big full looking eyelashes. Like tonight when I get all dressed up to go out for my Anniversary dinner 💕

Eyeliner

1. For day time makeup I tend to use my Estée Lauder Stay In Place Eye Pencil as it doesn't look as harsh as a liquid eyeliner. However, it does tend to rub off through the day and I tend to look like a bit of a panda. I love this liner in particular as it goes on really smoothly

2. I tend to use a liquid liner for nights out and for days when I want my eyes to look sharp. I use Collection Fast Stroke Eye Liner If I have an important meeting and I need my makeup to last I will go for this liner. I have been using this eyeliner for years and it has never let me down, the price is so reasonable I have no need to change.

Fixing Powder 

For setting my makeup I use my Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder , it's finely milled so that it smooths on my face easily with no clumps. It keeps my makeup in place well and stop my foundation oxidising as much. it never feels cakey and keeps my shiny face at bay.

Bronzer 

I use Benefit Hoola Bronzer to contour and to add some tone to my skin if i'm feeling a bit pale. I know you should use colour with a grey undertone but I think this works well for me. It's quite pigmented and it's matte so no shimmer here (I prefer to get that from my highlighter) it's also a lovely texture that my brush glides through

Blusher 

I use my Surratt Parfait Blusher daily because the colour is subtle and gives a nice glow without being too heavy, the texture is fab and it sweeps on like a dream. The one thing I love in particular is the longevity of this blusher, most blushers tend to come off within an hour or two but this one sticks around

Highlighter

I'm still yet to find my ultimate highlighter and I'm looking to purchase the Charlotte Tilbury Palette soon so I will hopefully have an update on that but for the time being I am using this powder highlighter from Manna Kadar. This is a Highlighter Duo that also comes with a bronzer but I haven't tried the bronzing side yet.

Glowing

It looks like a golden colour in the palette but once applied on the face it just gives a healthy glow that blends in with the rest of my makeup.  My only wish is that they did this in a full size instead of a duo as sometimes it's difficult to get my brush in.

Brows

Now for my brows (the worst part)

I use Benefit Gimme Brow to smooth down and tame my unruly brows followed by a Dark brown pencil to fill in and shape them.
